1. Application and features
PB298 series rope gripper is a safety element for overspeed protection during up travel of the elevators, and is also a new component that is designed and manufactured according to GB 7588-2003 "Safety Codes for Manufacture and Installation of Elevator/Escalator". Its function is like up safety gear of elevator. Since this gripper is installed easily and existing elevator structure and design system need not be modified, it can be widely applied in the installation of new elevators and reforms of old elevators.
This rope gripper is used as up overspeed protection, and is installed on the counterweight or car side of traction type elevator and is supported on the traction machine frame, supporting beam or machine room floor slab.
The gripper with traction ratio 1: 1 is applicable to the traction type elevator with rated speed ≤ 2.5m/s and stop weight ≤ 6000kg.
2. Operating conditions
A. Steel wire rope of the traction type elevator complies with the requirements of GB8923-88 and GB8924-88.
B. The wire rope and brake rope retaining guard must be free of oil stains
Select the rope gripper type corresponding to the rope size.
3. Main Technical Parameters (for traction ratio 1: 1)
A. Rated speed of elevator: 0.5~2.5m/s;
B. Range of total weight of the system: 1700~6000kg at no load in the car;
C. Range of rated load capacity: 630~2500kg;
D. Disengagement force of the lock catch ≤ 200N;
E. Applicable to the ropeφ 8~φ 16;
F. Drive force of bracing cable or electromagnetic drive force: 100~200N;
G. Effective travel of bracing cable: 10~20mm;
H. Max. Braking deceleration: ≤ 1g (standard value);
I. Reset mode: Manual
