CRANE DESIGN:
All our cranes are designed taking into account the special conditions of marine application: harsh environment, dynamic load conditions, excessive side loads and stresses exposed to the crane during operation.
The design is based on the use of mainly high tensile steel material. The design is focused on protecting the crane against overloads by absorbing additional forces through its special boom construction. The design offers extremely high resistance against overloads and combines perfectly high elasticity with
rigidity, thereby reducing the risk of accidents.
Reinforcements and double plates are installed to create smooth transitions between elastic and rigid points. The structures are designed to prevent stress concentration points.
As the crane is designed to operate during the relevant movements of a vessel and / or load, the design is focused on a concept of elasticity.

CRANE SAFETY DEVICES:
The necessary components and safety devices are installed in order to operate the crane for its intended purpose and safe operation, the crane's safety system comprises of the following:
- All main hydraulic circuits are protected from over-pressure by relief valves set to values corresponding to the crane capacities.
- A main over-pressure valve to ensure the safety of the entire hydraulic system .
- Slewing machinery: a load holding valve that will freeze the motion on the slewing motor in case of hydraulic pressure drop and a failsafe multi-disc brake.
- All hydraulic cylinders are provided with hydro piloted block load holding valve that will freeze the motion in case of hydraulic pressure drop.
- Every lever of operation is spring loaded and returns automatically to zero position (deadman's- handle) once force is no longer applied to the lever.
- A hydraulic overload (limiting moment) device is fitted to ensure that all crane functions stop in the case of winch overload. When the crane is stopped, the only allowable motion is the movement of lowering the load, all other movements are blocked.
